Remembering the View From Brooklyn

From the Brooklyn Promenade
Photo by myself from the Brooklyn Promenade.

A photo from the stash. The view of lower Manhattan from Brooklyn Promenade, at the edge of Brooklyn.

A framed photo of the World Trade Towers is a poignant reminder of what you no longer see.

Can it be the end of February already?

Like many people, I stayed up much too late watching the Oscars on television. Shockingly, this year they ended on time!

c'est une belle promenade qui permet d'avoir une superbe vue sur la Skyline...et puis ce souvenir de la connerie humaine ;((

Hi Kitty! Such a nice view! We really enjoyed this place.
How about the Oscar? Did your favorite movie get the big prize? I have been so busy that we did not have the opportunity to see any of the nominated movies of this year!

Hi Olivier
Yes, the view is lovely there. Such a peaceful spot.

Hi Washington
I'm so glad you were able to visit this spot.

Well, Mark and I hardly go to the movies these days. Looked like there were a bunch of good ones this year.

Hi Pierre
I'm sorry if this image affected you at all in a bad way. Hope you are all right.

Hi Cesc
Yes, and the neat thing is it's different every time here. Sunset and evening is pretty neat. I really can't wait to visit when the weather is better!

Oh, that's painful :-( Wonderful photograph, but painful in its poignancy.
